The Mission: Building the Agentic Future
We are building agentic software, intelligent systems designed to solve complex, real-world problems autonomously. Because our software runs in highly sensitive environments (customer clouds, private Kubernetes, and air-gapped networks), our development process must be as rigorous as it is fast.
In this era of AI-augmented development, we define Seniority by Governance. We are looking for a traditional, battle-hardened Software Engineer who utilises AI as a high-leverage tool in their belt to accelerate a governed, human-in-the-loop development lifecycle. You aren't just "vibe-coding"; you are a technical architect who uses AI to move faster while remaining the ultimate authority on correctness, security, and system integrity.
What you'll own (technical execution)
- Feature Lifecycle & Integrity. You own features from the first line of logic to the moment they run in a customer's cloud. You use AI to accelerate your velocity, but you are the human-in-the-loop ensuring the output meets our standards for performance and maintainability.
- Technical Standards in Practice. You don't just "follow" the stack; you help refine it. You ensure our use of TypeScript (strict mode), Bun/Elysia, and Drizzle is consistent and high-quality across the modules you touch.
- The "Installability" of Your Code. Since we ship into customer clouds, you own the "operability" of your work. You ensure your features are easy to deploy via Kubernetes, properly namespaced, and accompanied by the automation needed for a smooth install.
- Data Isolation Logic. You are responsible for the technical implementation of multi-tenancy. You don't just "hope" data is isolated; you write the schema-level constraints and the rigorous test suites that prove one customer can never see another's data.
- Observability Implementation. You own the "signals" for your features. You ensure every agentic action is captured via OpenTelemetry so that when a system acts autonomously, we (and the customer) can see exactly why.
- Code Review & Mentorship. You act as a technical peer-reviewer. You help ensure the team's AI-assisted contributions don't introduce technical debt, "hallucinated" logic, or security vulnerabilities.
Who you are
- The Governance Mindset. You believe seniority is about being the "calibration anchor" for quality. You have the experience to know when a shortcut will cause a fire in six months and the discipline to prevent it.
- AI-Leveraged, Not AI-Dependent. You use GenAI and AI-assisted tools to 10x your output, but you are a "traditional" engineer at your core. You can debug a race condition, read a Kubernetes manifest, and optimise a SQL query without help. You lead the AI; it doesn't lead you.
- Technical Depth. You have shipped production TypeScript in the last 18 months. You can spot issues in a Drizzle migration or a React server component on the first pass. You are comfortable in a strict, highly opinionated codebase.
- Multi-tenant & K8s Instincts. You have "battle scars" from building systems where data isolation is a legal requirement, not a suggestion. You are fluent in Kubernetes (ingress, network policies, resource limits) and know how to make software "operable" for a customer's SRE team.
- Clear Communicator. You believe that in a remote, high-velocity team, clear writing is a superpower. You document your architectural decisions and runbooks so they are readable by both humans and the agents we build.
Bonus points (genuinely not requirements)
- Kubernetes. Production experience running Kubernetes on AWS (EKS, IRSA, ALB ingress, Karpenter or autoscaling).
- AWS Experience. Depth in core AWS services and the IAM/networking model that makes them safe in a customer's account.
- Amazon Bedrock. Hands-on work with Amazon Bedrock — model access, Guardrails, Knowledge Bases, or Agents — especially in a regulated or data-sensitive setting.
Our technical stack
Runtime & Backend
Bun, Elysia, Drizzle ORM, Postgres 15+
Frontend
Next.js 15 (App Router), React 19, Tailwind
Infrastructure
Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, Valkey (Redis-compatible)
Identity & Observability
Keycloak (OIDC/SAML), OpenTelemetry
Cloud & AI Platform
AWS (EKS, IAM, VPC, S3, RDS), Amazon Bedrock
These are where we're heading, not where we've always been.
Success in 12 months
- High-velocity delivery. You have demonstrated that a Senior Engineer utilising AI can ship higher-quality features faster than a traditional team.
- Bulletproof governance. The codebase remains clean, strictly typed, and secure, with test coverage that proves our tenant isolation works.
- Agentic success. You have successfully shipped at least one major "agentic" feature that autonomously solves a complex customer problem in a secure, observable way.
